Mazda MZD Connect entertainment/nav system to be displayed at CES 2014

Mazda will exhibit its new MZD Connect entertainment and navigation system at the 2014 CES Show in Las Vegas.

The MZD Connect system will debut in the Mazda 3 hatch and sedan that goes on sale in Australia early in 2014. The system features a glossy 7-inch touchscreen tablet/GPS-style high resolution display situated high on the dashboard. Unlike earlier systems, such as those on the CX-5 and Mazda 6, the new MZD Connect system is neated integrated into the Mazda 3’s dashboard.

Interestingly the MZD Connect system also features a iDrive-style knob controller with shortcut keys in the centre tunnel. The system integrates with car’s various safety systems, including the head-up display and instrumentation display. Connectivity options include Bluetooth streaming and hands-free, two USB ports, auxiliary jack and an SD card slot.
