Lexus RC-F Carbon Package images surface, little else known

Lexus has issued photos of its just-unveiled RC-F wearing an optional carbon fibre enhancement kit. Aside from what we can see in the photos (below) we know little else about the package.

From what we can see the carbon fibre package includes a clearcoat-finished carbon fibre roof and rear decklid spoiler, which like the regular plastic item raises and lowers itself automatically depending on road speed. The white car (above) also features a carbon fibre bonnet; it’s unknown whether the blue car (also above) has a carbon fibre bonnet that’s been painted in body colour or whether it uses the regular RC-F’s hood.

Until the Lexus RC-F starts hitting showrooms around the world, we have no idea how much weight the carbon fibre package saves and, consequently, how it’ll improve the RC-F’s handling and performance. Also, we have no clue how much the package will set back potential buyers.
