… that is if it makes it through to production.

Apart from revealing a handsome, aggressive high performance sports sedan clad in a very attractive shade of deep red, Infiniti revealed, well, not very much about the Q50 Eau Rouge concept car.

According to Infiniti the Q50 Eau Rouge, if and when it hits the production line, will have at least 373kW (500hp) of power and 813Nm (600lb-ft) of torque at its disposal. How this mumbo will be generated was left unsaid, although, given the torque figure quoted, forced induction seems likely.

As noted earlier, the Q50 Eau Rouge features a wider body (we now know that it’s 20mm wider than the regular Q50), an aggressive carbon fibre body kit, rides on 21-inch alloy wheels, and has a Brembo braking package.

Inside, the Q50 Eau Rouge features a two-tone black and red interior with red tinted carbon fibre inserts and red Alcantara (fake suede) highlights. Flappy paddles behind the steering wheel suggest that the Eau Rouge will have an automatic or dual-clutch automated transmission, while the engine’s redline is marked at 7,500rpm.

The Eau Rouge feeds on the little motorsport heritage that Infiniti has, namely its sponsorship rights to the Red Bull F1 team. And the Eau Rouge name references the famous corner at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium.

Length: 4,803mm (unchanged compared to the regular Infiniti Q50)
Width: 1,844mm (+20mm)
Height: 1,430mm (-13mm)
Wheelbase: 2,850mm (unchanged)
