Hyundai Genesis coupe gains 1000hp from Bisimoto for SEMA

Among the exhibits at this November’s SEMA modified car show will be this 1000hp (746kW) Hyundai Genesis coupe developed by Bisimoto Engineering.

Bisimoto Engineering took a standard R-Spec Genesis that’s equipped with a 260kW (348hp) 3.8-litre V6. To get the vaunted 1000hp mark Bisimoto practically rebuilt the engine with new pistons, sleeves; valvetrain; strapped on a two Turbonetics BTX6462 turbos, a cheekily named “Godzilla” blow off valve, Spearco intercooler and Griffin radiator.

The modified Genesis Coupe rides on 20-inch Incurve alloy wheels shod with Toyo Tyres. Inside the hotted up Genesis features a race-spec roll cage and Buddy Club racing bucket seats.

This year’s SEMA show takes place in Las Vegas between 5 and 8 November.
