Gen-F HSV GTS puts 430kW supercharged V8 into VF Holden Commodore

Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) has revealed that its next generation of souped up Commodores will bear the model designation Gen-F.

The new Gen-F HSV GTS will be powered by a supercharged 6.2-litre V8, dubbed LSA, with 430kW of power and 740Nm of torque. This engine is lifted, pretty much, straight from the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

To put things in perspective the current E3 HSV GTS has 325kW at its disposal from its V8, while the fastest HSV to date, the limited edition W427, had a 375kW 7-litre V8.

The new Gen-F HSV range goes on sale around September 2013, and the GTS is expected to cost around A$95,000.

The rest of the Gen-F HSV range

Like the GTS, the rest of the Gen-F HSV range sport unique front and rear bumpers, body kit, spoilers, and, of course, firmer lower suspension, uprated brakes and larger wheels compared to the regular VF Commodore range. Unlike the outgoing E-Series models the new Gen-F variants don’t sport any unique sheet metal and, while they all have LED tail-lights, they’re housed within clusters the same shape as those on plebian Commodores.

Clubsport – 317kW
Clubsport R8 – 325kW
Clubsport R8 SV – 340kW

Sedan only:
Senator – 340kW
GTS – 430kW

LWD sedan:
Grange – 340kW

Ute:
Maloo – 317kW
Maloo R8 – 325kW
Maloo R8 SV – 340kW
