Grand Theft Auto V gameplay video marks a return to customisable cars

Rockstar has unveiled the first gameplay video from the hotly anticipated game Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) and the latest iteration of the popular franchise has customisable cars, a feature that wasn’t included in GTA IV.

GTA V is set in the city of Los Santos, a fictionised version of Los Angeles. Unlike previous games the player controls three different characters, not just one, in a series of increasingly grandiose heists. The characters in the game can pilot planes, helicopters and, of course, a fleet of realistic cars with parody names.

According to Rockstar the freely explorable space in and around Los Santos is said to be four times larger than the area available in Liberty City, which starred in GTA IV.

The game is due out in September 2013, and will be available on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
