FPV GT RSpec toughens up with hints of Mustang

FPV is set to sell 350 limited edition RSpec GTs with styling modifications that recall the 1969 Boss Mustang and, in a first for the brand, a launch control system.

Under the bonnet there’s the 335kW 5-litre supercharged V8 delivering all its thunder and fury to the rear wheels via either a 6-speed automatic or manual gearbox. To help it ride and go around corners better, FPV has tweaked the front and rear suspension, with new settings and sturdier arms and mounts. There’s also new 9-inch rear wheel and 275-section rubber.

The car will retail for A$76,990 before on-road costs.

Options include Brembo 6-piston front brakes and 4-piston rear brakes and a sat nav system with Suna’s traffic messaging system.
