Ford Ka Concept: a cheap hatch for Brazil, South America, Asia, Europe

The Ford Ka Concept is pretty much the next generation version of the entry-level Ka hatchback that will go on sale in Brazil, South America and other parts of the world.

Ford isn’t saying too much about the Ka Concept right now, except that it does foreshadow a new global car that “could launch” in 2014 and that it features the company’s Sync entertainment and smartphone integration system. No word yet on what’s under the bonnet motivating the Ka, but the concept car rides on 16-inch alloys.

Expect the production version of the Ka to look exactly like this concept car, minus, of course, the showboating LED headlights.

Although Ford Australia has yet to comment, it’s unlikely that the Ka will go on sale in Australia. Unless there’s an economic depression of 1920s proportions, we’d also discount the likelihood of the Ka making it to the USA.
