BMW 4-Series Coupe Concept is pretty much the next 3-Series coupe

Here before you is the “concept” version of the soon-to-be-released 4-Series coupe. Strip away some of the show car details — such as the 20-inch alloys, outlandish bumpers, fancy wing mirrors, slimline door handles and over-the-top details in the cabin — and you basically have the production car in all its glory.

The current F30 generation of the 3-Series will be the first to go without a coupe and convertible version. But, fret not motoring world, because the 4-Series (model code F32) is here to take its place. This mirrors what currently occurs with the 6-Series coupe and convertible being a less practical, more expensive versions of the 5-Series, while the Audi A5 is a similar foil to the A4.

Compared to the current E92 3-Series coupe, the 4-Series has grown in every dimension except height (see below).

Dimensions (compared to E92 3-Series coupe)

Length: 4,641mm (+21mm)
Width: 1,826mm (+44mm)
Height: 1,362mm (-16mm)
Wheelbase: 2,810mm (+50mm)
Track front/rear: 1,545mm (+45mm) / 1,593mm (+80mm)
