Best selling cars in Australia in 2013

With just a month to go in 2013, the placing of Australia’s top five cars are sorted: Toyota Corolla, Mazda 3, Toyota HiLux, Hyundai i30 and Holden Commodore.

Update (9 Dec 2013): If the order of the top five changes when the December figures come through we’ll start believing in Christmas miracles again. Further down the list, though, the order of things could well move about. The Holden Cruze in sixth and the Nissan Navara in seventh are both in a slump, while the locally built Toyota Camry in ninth and Ford Ranger in tenth are coming home with wet sales.

With just a month to go the top five is settled.

November saw 96,924 cars sold in Australia, pushing the cumulative total for the year past the one million mark with just a month to run. If analysts' predictions are right, 2013 will be a record year.
