3rd gen Audi TT previewed by Audi Allroad Shooting Brake Concept

Audi will reveal the Allroad Shooting Brake Concept at the 2014 Detroit Motor Show, which essentially previews the look of the new third generation TT that arrives later this year.

Images of the Allroad Shooting Brake concept have been leaked by Russian website AutoWP.ru.

Don’t be fooled by the raised suspension, grey over-fenders, e-tron branding and 3-door wagon body, this is the best view you’ll get of the third generation TT before it’s actually unveiled.

On the evidence above, stylistically the new TT won’t stray too far from the template set by its predecessors, with a rounded 3-door body, bold wheelarches and prominent “single frame” grille.

The Allroad Shooting Brake will likely feature a hybrid drivetrain to go with its all-wheel drive MQB underpinnings.

If you think we’re going off piste by linking the Allroad Shooting Brake Concept, remember that the current 8J TT was in turn previewed by a Shooting Brake Concept at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show. That car featured was, practically, a production version of the second generation TT, but, of course, with a 3-door wagon body. If you’re still in doubt, check out the Allroad Shooting Brake’s interior: it’s a dead ringer for the third generation TT interior shown off at this year’s CES.
