Subaru didn’t release any product information to go along with the teaser shot (above). If the company stays true to form, though, the new Outback will be based on the as-yet-unseen wagon version of the new sixth generation Liberty/Legacy.

The new Outback will likely be powered by the same 130kW/236Nm 2.5-litre 4-cylinder boxer and 190kW/335Nm 3.6-litre 6-cylinder boxer engines found in the yet-to-launch-in-Australia new Liberty. We can probably expect the current car’s diesel motor at some stage too.
