2014 Lexus RC F coupe to debut at Detroit Motor Show

At the 2014 Detroit Motor Show in January, Lexus will rip the covers of its next high performance F model, the RC F.

The new RC F will replace the IS F that’s based on the previous generation IS sedan. Little concrete information is known about the new car at the moment.

Some sources are tipping 343kW (460hp) V8 engine not too dissimilar to the 5-litre V8 under the hood of the soon-to-be-discontinued IS F. If that’s the case it’s likely that the RC F will feature an 8-speed “direct shift” automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.
