The revised look of the Focus’ front end mimics the look the North American Ford Fusion, its interminably delayed European cousin, the Ford Mondeo, and smaller Fiesta. All four cars now share a common front end theme with a grille very much borrowed from Aston Martin, a former Ford brand.

To go along with the new grille, bonnet, headlights, and bumpers, the updated Focus has had some detail changes applied to the tail-lights.

More significant upgrades have been given to the car’s interior. While the overall design of the dashboard has been kept pretty much as is, the controls in the car’s centre console have been thoroughly revised. Instead of a confusing mish mash of buttons and knobs in a sea of fingerprint-covered piano black plastic, the remade Focus features just a few simple audio controls below the large MyFord Touch touchscreen entertainment and nav system.

Stay tuned, we’ll know more about the updated Ford Focus when all is revealed ahead of the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
