2014 6th gen Subaru Liberty/Legacy to be revealed in Chicago on 6 Feb

Subaru has announced that it will reveal the sixth generation Liberty (known as the Legacy in the rest of the world) at the Chicago Auto Show.

The teaser image (above) shows a sedan that’s nowhere near as sexy as the Legacy Concept from last year. It does seem, however, more rakish and less awkward than the current, slab-sided fifth generation Liberty.

From what we can see the new Liberty will have oversized tail-lights similar to the Concept and headlights that aren’t too different to those used on the new WRX and STI. Aside from that it has Impreza-style flag pole wing mirrors and a fixed front quarter window.

We’ll know more about the car’s looks and underpinnings in just a few days.
